Nicor Gas’ Volunteer Week: May 11-18

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Nicor Gas’ commitment to its customers, neighbors and communities extends beyond the delivery of clean, safe, reliable affordable natural gas. Hundreds of employees, their families and friends will come together during Nicor Gas’ 23rd annual Volunteer Week: May 11-18 to lend their time and talents to organizations in many of the communities where we live, work and serve.

“Nicor Gas employees are inextricably woven into the communities we are privileged to serve, and Volunteer Day continues to be one of the traditions we are most proud of,” said Melvin D. Williams, president of Nicor Gas. “As a company, we want to be judged not only by the service we provide, but also for what we do to improve the quality of life for all people in the places where we live and work. We hope that our pledge to volunteerism inspires others to make the same commitment, not just on one day or week, but throughout the year.”
